Hi
I'm about to buy a laptop for my Korg Legacy Collection Digital. I'm just wondering why it says in the requirements that a screen resolution of 1024x768 is needed. I mean, the main window isn't that large.
So wouldn't KLCDE be able to run on a computer with a screen smaller than that?
BTW the computer I'm thinking about is Asus Eee PC 1000H. Maybe KLCDE won't run well on that CPU (1.6 GHz) but i thought it would, from what the requirements page says. _________________ I've been everywhere on Earth, even at the end of Excel. |

It probably says 1024x768 because 1024x600 screens didn't exist when it was released. The M1 window is 800x500 pixels, which would've made it a tight fit for a 800x600 resolution. That's probably why they chose one resolution up to be on the safe side for when people choose large font sizes in their window title bars or other special settings.
Anyway, I have tried to run the AE2007 on my E1210 which also has the 1.6 GHz Atom processor. I would say it is underspec'd, at least with the built in sound card and asio4all. I haven't tried with an external sound card.
The DE might use slightly less power than the AE though. I haven't tried that though. |
