I have a DTR-1000 rack tuner. I just got a BOSS latch footswitch to mute for silent tuning. The switch mutes the input fine, (and turns the mute light on) from either the front or back mute jacks. However, when muted, I cannot tune.

I cannot see what I'm doing wrong, since muting is working. I also get some popping and noise while muted, but that's not a showstopper. Inability to tune while muted is.

I would REALLY appreciate any help as I have a big gig coming up and cannot tune audibly on stage. House rules!
