|
|
so today i made an experiment to see if u could external control the various parameters with a midi controller.
Since i have no sysex / nrpn capable controller i did the ollowing:
1. use bome midi translator
2. connect doepfer pocket control to midi in of the MS
3. captured the CC of the doepfer (the input)
4. capture the output of:
- decay
- release
- semitone
- tune
this by using the value knob (bome midi translator has a capture function)
i did this in sampling mode.
so then i tried rotating the knob and hear the result....
IT WORKS!! u can realtime adjust the 4 functions..
So the MS is capable...
now comes the Questionmark:
it only worked on the samplenumer is selected, changing the sample number (different sample) made me to re-capture the event from the MS..
In keyboard mode it also worked, but again only on the sample i did the capture on
SO HOW DOES THIS WORK IN SYSEX??? Which bit is responsible for the note number and how can i replace the number by a general letter or number referring to the note number
Seconly i tried it on the fx, the bitreducer.. works and is global.. and the syssex messages are the same for all the fx (of course only the name of parameter changes when choosing another fx)
So anyone has some indepth knowledge of nrpn and sysex.. i can send u the bome patch. |
