ok...this is the right link i think. Now you know why I am happy even with my baby steps in Cubase. I think it may have taken me longer to figure out to post the song here than it took me to compose it.

Sorry for the confusion.

Well...I usually don't like to post my own opinions or my thoughts on my music, because I like to hear what others think without starting it off by reading another view.

In saying that I will simply say that I am proud of this song...for no other reason that it was my first real attempt in Cubase...and it captures one of those rare moments when you can feel yourself growing.

you certainly did tons better than i would have done in cubase, i know nothing about that. And there are a lot of change ups in sounds. I seems some of them are out of control in the sound spectrum, the bass is a bit boomy at times and I think the reverby type percussion things are too reverby as they seemed to come from upstairs or something. But hey, you're learning cubase and that's the important thing here. Keep on keeping on as they say and it was fun to listen to.

(ps i took the liberty to edit your thread title to avoid confusing this with the checklist)

Hi pwmc,

well done at your first attempt, myself I'd be very proud of this track. George is right though you do need to do some work on recording and production other than that it's a cool song!

The concept here is really nice!
The recording seems hot, and there's some distortion on the guitar, and electric piano tracks, but it's very clear, and punchy otherwise, and I like that.
You're doing much better than I did on my first attempt at software recording.
Keep at it, you're on the right track.
Nice going.
Smile
