Hi, I am running Logic Express 8 on my MBP. I also have a Korg Nanopad. While the pads work just fine, I am finding it impossible to midi map the x-y pad and get it to work. The x-y pad is assigned to midi channel 2, with CC 98 and 99 respectively. Touch release is not enabled.
I am trying to use the x-y pad in conjunction with the Camel Audio iPhat Morph Square (or any audio unit that uses an x-y pad). I try doing Midi learn and it appears to learn the midi signal for it. However, it simply does not work.
I have no problem with Logic learning individual parameters for the iPhat audio unit using the nanopad, but no luck with the Morph Square. I've searched ALL over the internet and can't seem to find any help.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! |

Hmm, this does appear to be tricky... Looking into this just now I got rather erratic results and I think I will not spend more time experimenting but here are two ideas.
1) Assign the NanoPad's X and Y CC messages to two performance knobs (to the left of the performance XY pads) and if that works then use "Swap X with" and "Swap Y with" in the pad's contextual menu.
2) Try editing the MidiMap file directly, assigning cc 98 to "XyPad1x" and cc 99 to "XyPad1y" (http://www.camelaudio.com/alchemymanual/?s=midimap).
Good luck
