Just when you get it done, apple issue a new update that offers some bug fixes or a feature you like and your back to square one again waiting for some elite hacker to crack the OS again and so on.....

Been there, done that. I have an iPhone 3G, and I've been jailbreaking it just for a few cool apps not available in the App Store, like a task switching app and a couple others I can't remember. Every single time apple released an update I had to flash the new os, jailbreak and install everything again. I think I did it like 3 or 4 times. Not anymore.
Is just a huge pain and not worthy of all the trouble. _________________ Martin Ocando

That's my feelings on it too, plus the fact that the vast majority of people simply lack the ability to understand it all.
It might be easy to you when you devote the time and brain power to research what you need to flash it with a new custom OS, but the majority of people lack that ability to devote the brain power and patience required to figure it out.
I've lost count of how many times I have fixed a computer for friends and family only to have them think I'm some sort of super hero nerd when in reality I wasn't even devoting a single brain cell to the problem.
What I'm getting at here is your either the type of person who can do all this or not. The the “Nots” make up the vast majority.
Regards

When I get my iPad, I will buy this app. I'm not afraid of making my ESX & EMX obsolete at all. I've played with music apps on the PSP, the wonderful DS10 on the Nintendo DS, and a handful of apps on the iphone. They all have their own romance, but just fall short in comparison to the tube driven sounds, and the actual analog style feel of the electribe boxes. It's worth $20 but not much more (especially as just an iphone app, not vst). It'll be sold to the hobbyist market more than marketed to professionals. _________________ Using Korg EMX & ESX, R3, and MicroX.
