Hello. I hope i'm not reapeating any post, but i couldn't find what i was looking for, so here it goes:

I have a Zero8 mixer wich i usually connecto to a macbook white or imac with a firewire 400 (on both ends) cable.

I am trying now to connect it to a 2010 macbook pro, wich has only firewire 800 port, with a firewire cable 400 to 800 (onde end 400 plug, the other end 800 plug) and i can't get it to establish a firewire connection (indicated by the firewire orange light in the mixer). With this cable it's not working neither on the imac nor the macbook pro.

Info:
Korg Zero8 with software version 1.6
Alluminium iMac 2007 2.4GHz 4GB with OS X 10.6.3
Macbook Pro 2010 2.66GHz i7 4GB with OS X 10.6.3
Cable being used: http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=11182

Any clues?

Thank you in advance for the help.
