At last night's show, our SV1's audio output died mid-set, both XLR outs to PA and mono quarter inch feeding an amp. After turning it off and on again, it worked for two seconds then crapped out again, first dropping to extremely low level which sounded distorted then no output whatsoever. After one song, we wiggled all the cables and it miraculously started working again, and was fine for the rest of the night. No cable had been clearly unplugged though.

It was pretty hot last night and our keyboard player sweats a lot. He's shorted out lesser keyboards before. But if this was what happened, why was it okay again after five minutes? Is it possible that a half pulled-out quarter inch cable would short out the XLR output too?

It's running first-generation software. Also, we've been using XLR ground lifts since for some reason using XLR outs causes a small buzz in the quarter inch amp feed.

Anybody have any ideas for cause or solution? Thanks
