Here is the message I sent to support@korgcanada.com
I hope to get an answer soon as this is a bit frustrating to say the least.

I received the microSAMPLER yesterday and tested it out. I can see it has the potential to be an amazing device once I get a chance to play around with it. There seems to be an issue with the velocity sensitivity. Not all of the keys work when I apply an equal amount of pressure across the board. I don't believe it was damaged during shipping as it was packed fairly well. How can we resolve this?

Has anyone else experienced this?

No. Did you buy it directly from KORG?

I would say the (online?) store where you bought it from is the party responsible. There should be some kind of policy about returns.
You need to return it and get another one or at least return it for your full refund.

I would buy the next one from an actual store, if possible.

The store, which is an inconvenient 5 hours away is trying to arrange for a technician to look at it on the weekend. I will post the details.

Are all the keys alligned in the velocity menu? one can be full trigger or more and more sensitive depending on the value assigned. are all the keys doing this in keyboard mode? if so, then it sounds like a problem with the keys. just something to check.

I've tried it in keyboard mode with the default sounds from ROM bank and yes - some keys are more sensitive than others.

The store exchanged it for a new microSAMPLER, hassle-free.
Moog-Audio is the name of the store, if anyone is curious. Good folks there.

Some lucky chap is going to get a couple of banks filled with original TR-909 and Moog Voyager samples. (and moronic vocal samples)
Unless they just run my old microSAMPLER through a shredder.

This is one fun machine.
