Greetings all,
I can't remember where I read it, but with Snow Leopard dropping Rosetta, there could be problems for music software. I'm a newbie to Mac OS X this past spring and I am still learning.

Does anyone have more specific information concerning incompatibilities as the result of installing OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard? Daz, you're the wiz here. What do you think?

Cheers,
Jim

Korg has not yet tested things with Snow Leopard - I WOULD NOT upgrade to it at this time considering the likelihood of problems for many manufacturers.

Jerry

I won't be updating my music mac to Snow Lep until ALL my music software and hardware is qualified for it. I am with Jerry, and won't be rushing in there Smile

I will be installing it on my laptop tomorrow night though ! It's not used for music making.

Daz.

Thanks, Jerry, Daz. That's also my decision. I've placed my order, but I will not be installing until there is a firm green light for all my tools.
Cheers,
Jim

I'll buy it this weekend, but i won't install it until everything is tested ok. At 35$CAD, it's cheap and i'll be sure to have a copy the second all my soft synths vendors say "GO"...

Hi !

I discovered a curious issue : I use mac os 10.6.1 and a M3. It's impossible to save Korg files on an usb key which has been used on mac os 10.6 ! I can load the files but I can't save ! It seems that mac os 10.6 "infects" the device thus preventing from any saves on the M3 (freezing when I use the save function). I solved the problem formatting my usb key on the M3. Did you encounter this issue ?

It's possible to use the microKontrol editor librarian on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard, but you need to run it with raised permissions. You can do it by launching the terminal and typing:
sudo open /Applications/KORG/microKONTROL/microKONTROL\ Editor\ Librarian.app

Assuming that the app is in the default location, and you know the admin password. The automatic discovery of the device doesn't work so you need to specify the midi ports in the editor preferences.
