Can I use my Bass Guitar cabinet and head as a temporary speaker system?
I understand it is not the same as a set of dry studio speakers but I just want to get by for now without blowing my new EMX1 SD
I have a couple of cabs. 1 15" mesa portable cab and a road ready 2x15 cab. The 2x15 has a 60-6000Hz frequency speaker and a ? 30 3000Hz speaker. Both EV. Could I run the 1/4" jack directly to the speaker or do I need to plug into the input jack on the Amp. It's a Mesa/Boogie 400w + head (12x5881 tubes) _________________ Korg Kaos Pro

Speakers require an audio power amplifier of some kind. The EMX doesn't have one. It can drive headphones, at most.
You need to send the Electribe output to the input of an Amp(lifier), of some kind. |

So it's safe to send the output from the EMX1 SD to the Mesa 400w input, the same way I plug my bass guitar in? That sounds logical but I am just wanting to make sure.
Another thing; being that the EMX1 SD and ESX1 SD only have 50mb of FLASH ram, does this put a crippling limitation on the creative song writing process as well as doing live shows? _________________ Korg Kaos Pro
