Only if you knew and understood what KARMA can actually do...uugghh!
Especially what you can do with the KM3 Software...dang!

I do understand Smile But the logic here is - if one buys state-of-the-art hardware then why use PC at all. If I have to engage PC then why buy hardware? PC costs less (sometimes) and is more versatile ... ok this is just a general statement, not worth to pay much attention Smile of course, there is a room for both technologies.

Let's say my band wants to do Kyrie by Mr. Mister (they do actually), I need to program that manually. You can not do that with Karma without a GE editor. After I bought my M3, I bought an M50 (SO much lighter) but also because of the arps. We did a few songs that required custom arps and no infinite number of pre-created GE's will ever fix that.

Even the DW-8000 had a neat arp function that hasn't been replicated since then. Karma's neat and all, but arps (like on the Triton or M50) are very important.

I created a sample of the chirping arpeggiated sound in the beginning (from a sound I programmed). For the arpeggiated basslines, I put together a track in my sequencer, sampled that into my Fantom G6, then broke it up into small groups of notes (which are triggered a few at a time as I walk up the chromatic scale). This approach means I can stay in time with our drummer and not use a click or headphone feed to him. Just an option...
