AK,
My wavedrum won't be here till the end of the week. I notice you have posted a few customized settings for it. How's the steel drum? I am really looking forward to learning 'hand' drumming (is there a correct term?). I promise to give your custom sets a try when I get mine...thanks for posting up on this 'somewhat' lonely board. Gearslutz.com has an active board and several Korg guys (Richie) post on there all the time. You could get a lot more testers if you posted on there also.
Cheers!

Hi ,
Very Keep Wave drummer here.. this is the FIRST custom patch Ive ever seen on the net,are there more?
I'd love ot hear this steel drum one if theres any chance you could post the PDF.
I battled for weeks trying to refine the metallic sounds into something hang drum sounding but really got nowhere close.
irony is the Hang is such a sought after sound...and one that with preassure pitching , the wavedrum could do SO WELL.. that I am sure if they had included it as a special "double size" alog, it would have sold many many more wavedrums on its back. |

How perfect! The only hand drum I kept when I switched over to Electronics was my favorite little doumbek. I was shattered to not find a doumbek on the Korg list. Now I'm elated you have offered a patch of one.
I will definitely let you know my experience of it. |

I've got two questions.
Where does one find demos or lessons for those kind of hand and finger techniques, especially the finger rolls?
What kind of drum head are you using there?
Where can one find more patches for the Wavedrum? |
