Does it matter which brand of expression pedal you use with the SV-1? I see most use Korg's own exp-2, but I am looking to get something a little less expensive on ebay and was wondering whether another brand would work.

I am using an expression pedal of Roland. It works ok for me. But I think the SV1 needs a new OS version, because you can not lower it to a really softer volume.

And much more irritating is, that the expression pedal works on all instruments.. How stupid can you be, to develop it that way.. come on..

In church I play a Nord Stage, and there you can chose wether is works for all instruments, or just for the Hammond. That sounds much logicaller to me..

I would have thought most expression pedals work with the SV,you may need to calibrate them(on the SV) once plugged in so the SV can register the Polarity of the pedal.

I had to calibrate a DS1 damper pedal because when I pressed the pedal down the Notes would sustain rather than dampen, and if used with the string patches the notes would sustain(hang until change patches) once the pedal was released, after calibrating it,it now works as it should.

I haven't managed to use the expression pedals I have(some cheapo bespeco make)with the SV as of yet as I use them for other synths at the mo,but they have a switchable polarity so will have to try them out.

Would like to get hold of one of those 3 pedal models like the nords use to see if they would work with the SV
