When you're in live mode and you're playing a live gig, you may want to switch to a sequenced backing track.

Can you play a backing track sequence and still play the keyboard on top of it and , if so, can you store the sound that you want to be playing along with the sequence?

For example, let's say you called up Light My Fire as a backing sequence (just drums and bass for this example). When you select Light My Fire, could you the organ sound that you want to perform with be dialed in and ready to go?

Yes to all.

Best regards,

Hi Dan, I have another similar question, I used town an m3, and remember having a problem using a karma arpeggio and then switching to another sound I wanted to keep the arp going with the next combi but couldn't do this without using the karma scenes work around, is it possible with the setlist mode to do this?

Scott

When switching between Programs and Combis, KARMA will stop.

There's a special case, though: in Set Lists, you can assign the same Song to two or more Slots, each with a different keyboard track. By switching between these Slots, you can change the sound played by the keyboard while the sequencer continues to play. Basically, all that you're doing is changing the keyboard track assignment, instead of changing the sound per se. This trick also works with KARMA, even if the sequencer is not running: you can start KARMA playing, and then freely switch between Slots assigned to different keyboard tracks as KARMA continues to play.
