Intelligent voice stealing algorithms have been implemented on workstations for years to prevent ugly audio-dropouts as a result of exceeding the polyphony.
Surely a similar limit & voice stealing algorithm can also be implemented on the KRONOS for diskstreaming of user samples? |

Hi folks -
As I've mentioned before, we're aware that it would be great to be able to stream user samples. We're also very committed to supporting third-party developers, and especially KARO with all of their fantastic content developed for OASYS. That's all that I can say for now.
Best regards,

I think that that's ALL that needs to be said for now! Karo's products are first class and use all the strengths of the OASYS as it is now - and there is no doubt in my mind that their products will do the same for the Kronos once those version(s) are released. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

Sounds great, thanks for the reply Dan!
Also the fact that part of an expansion can be loaded is awesome, that means I will be absle to sneak in one big piano with parts of the Karo strings plus some other stuff aswell.
Still longing for a list of how much space in RAM each ESX use tho |

I know this has been said only a bazillion times already, but surely KORG has learned how ram hungry we are, so we can load as much into these instruments as possible. Even the M3 is expandable... and on that note, I really should install the expansions I bought last year, and never got around to doing, oy.
If KRONOS isn't capable of ram expansion, someone at KORG really needs to have their fingers twisted. Purely speculating, of course... *crosses fingers* _________________ PRAY FOR THIS PLANET!! |
