|

Morning everyone
newcomer on that forum, so please, forgive me if I don t do things right straight away.
I bought last friday a brand new Korg X50.. and i noticed that on some of the sounds, i have a very weird crackling old vinyl style effect.. Before I contact Korg and get that fixed.. i would like to know if anyone of you have had similar problems.. and if you have any ideas on how to fix it.
for instance, on Combi B80 Village pump, once I dail up the program there is an immediate pop/crackle and hiss that sounds like a needle on a old scratched vinyl record....even when no notes are played.
I have the same effect, when i press any key, on the following programs
B82 Jungle melody
B127 DJ touch
D033 R&B E Piano
D050 Old record hit
I m not sure if this is normal or not, but that really sounds weird.
thanks for your advise and help on that _________________ Korg Polysix, Roland D50, Korg M1, Roland XP30, Korg DW8000, Korg X50 |

It is from an insert effect, called 'Old Record' or something like that.
You can go into IFX and turn it off if you like. But its supposed to be there.
Seriously, this is one of the most asked questions ever _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, Karma, RADIAS-R, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II, Novation ReMote37SL, Akai APC20, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2.

Definitely the most useless effect in these keyboards. _________________ M3, Triton Classic, Radias, Motif XS, Alesis Ion (For Sale) |

This reminds me of when I sold my Triton Rack on Ebay several years ago. After about a week, the guy writes to ask about sending it back to me because one of the patches is making this scratchy sound. _________________ Roland Fantom G6 (2); Korg Kronos 61; Receptor VIP; Casio Privia PX-350m; M-Audio Keystation 88es |

Not necessarily. It adds warble too and is useful for making for example Mellotron sounds, or making a 'sampled effect' e.g. on EPs or drums. If I use it I prefer to make it gated to the keys though so that you don't hear it when not playing. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, Karma, RADIAS-R, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II, Novation ReMote37SL, Akai APC20, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2.
