Hi, my problem is with multieffect Korg px4d. I have bought first one on eBay from Japan, it practicaly didn't work at all. Worked for few seconds, than sound stopped. I returned it, bought another one from eBay, USA this time and problem is the same. Only this time, sounds goes from few seconds to few minutes, than cuts out. I have to switch effect or just press any button on the Px4d and it works again (no need to restart it). Can somebody help? |

Looks like software error. Very strange. |

Of course! Good idea.
3. Reloading the factory programs
While holding down the RHYTHM button and
the ▲ button, turn on the power. The LCD will
ask “RELOAD?”
If you press the ENTER/REC button, the factory-
set programs will be re-loaded into the user
program area. The display will indicate “RELOAD”,
“VERIFY”, “COMPLT” for a short time,
and then the power-on screen will appear.
Never turn off the power during the reload operation.
If you decide not to reload, press the EXIT button
while the “RELOAD?” indication is still shown.
The factory programs will not be reloaded; the
normal power-on screen will appear, and the
PX4D will be in Play mode.
Be aware that if you reload the factory programs,
the user programs and any settings that
are remembered when the power is turned off
(master level etc.) will all be rewritten.

Thanks a lot for a tip from the manual. I tried it and it almost looked as it will work. Rhythm played for almost 2 minutes! But sadly, cut out again, and again. |

I've got the same problem and I also tried that reload procedure without success.
The first time the PX4D is turned on from cold, it will run for the longest. But after a minute or two when the fault sets in, I'll eventually reach a point where there is only a second or two of sound each time I change a setting (effect or amp model) before it stops again.
Obviously, this makes the device useless.
Because of the way the fault gets more frequent the longer the PX4D has been running, it seems to me like a hardware problem. I'm confident the problem doesn't relate to the batteries. |

I ended up going back to the shop and swapping the PX4D for another. The replacement works with no problems. |
