I hope Korg posts the Kronos manual soon to get all my questions answered.

Does anyone know the Kronos is easy to use an a master keyboard to control soft synths? Specifically, is there a button to instantly turn it into a master keyboard with a predefined setting?

there is a big difference between a master keyboard and a control surface suitable for soft synths..

Many boards (such as say the fantom G), are a great master controller but largely useless as a controller for soft synths and IMO there is just not enough knobs and buttons on the kronos for it to be useful as a controller for soft synths.

Similar to the M3, there will be External setups that you can access and you can create your own User Setups. These are "predefined" sets where specific controllers send specific midi messages.

As with most controllers, you have to "know" (or refer to a chart) to see which controller controls which synth parameter.
