Hi there,

we've bought an SV1-73 from the US and shipped it to Australia. currently we're running it through a voltage converter to change our 240V to 110V, but according to the specs in the manual, there is an "internal switching adaptor" so that the SV1 can operate on anything from 110 to 240V.

We're just wondering if this means we can use it with 240V without changing anything, or do we have to open it up and switch it manually (someone has suggested we might have to do this).

any help appreciated,

thanks,
peter

Well, I live in Europe, The Netherlands, and we have 220V. I bought it at a music store in my own country, but I think they shipped it in from the USA.

Anyway, I just plugged it in, and it works great, without changing anything internal for the right amount of Volts.

I hope you can do something with this information.

Thanks for that.

But I'm hoping to find out if it's a simple process to open up the keyboard and flick a switch from 110 to 240 - or whether I should take it to a keyboard expert to do. I don't want to risk damaging the keyboard by just plugging it in to an aussie powerpoint without the voltage converter - I hear you can completely fry the keyboard by doing that.

Can anyone else help?

From the manual!
Power supply Internal switching adapter, AC100~240V, 50/60Hz

The PS is selfadjusting with inputs from 100V to 240V at 50 or 60 Hz.
There shoud be no problem what so ever to connect the unit in Australia.
