Is it possible to have a song automatically start playing when it is loaded? I have a midi click track light that responds to midi time clock messages and would like it to respond to the new song tempo as soon as I select a song in the setlist. The only way I can get it to respond currently is to press the sequencer start button, which will not be suitable for live playing. If not, this would be a very helpful feature to have, and I'm sure other people would have uses for it as well for starting backing tracks automatically when changing from song to song. _________________ Amos

Will do, just wanted to make sure this wasn't already possible first. _________________ Amos

You can use a footswitch to start the sequence,if you need to free up your hands,I know its not as immediatte but its a workaround.
Why do you need to have a song specifically to start upon load up,just curious as to how your utilising it.
when I used to Play live, always used a couple of empty bars in a track to make sure the patches/Midi data etc were selected correctly first both internally and on external devices. |

I'm not actually using the sequencer to play anything, but it does generate midi timecode messages when running, which I need to use for a midi click track light. This allows my drummer to have a visual click track reference for tempo that's synced up with whatever song we're playing. By having the sequencer start immediately when a song is selected, it eliminates a step and allows him to have the proper tempo right away. I really don't want to use a foot pedal or press a button to do this, but thanks for the suggestion. _________________ Amos

The Kronos can't do that ... there's no automation of sequences at all... My biggest need for features is a cue list function that lets you play a playlist of songs back-to-back similarly to the Trinity and Triton lines. You can assign a sequence to the set list, but you still have to press the SEQ START/STOP button to start playing the sequence _________________ Korg Kronos-61, 01/Wfd, SONAR Pro |

I just got confirmation from Midi Solutions that their device requires a start message in order to properly figure out the tempo, so that means I'll either have to press start every time I switch a song, or hope that Korg adds the functionality of auto playing a sequence _________________ Amos
