1. (Confirmed on 3 KRONOSes by Me):
When using Polysix turning to User, Arabic or other scales it works unproperly,
Notes change Pitch on each different Kit...someone else confirm please?
You can just use a Factory Polysix patch and just change the Scale to it. |
I just tried this, and it works properly. I also made a double program of the AL-1 and PolysixEX, and when selecting different scales, the pitches matched between the two EXi.
Note that there are many things which can affect pitch in these EXi; randomization (from the PolysixEX "Analog" parameter, for instance), chorusing, detuning, etc. make it a little more difficult to hear differences between scales.
Hope this helps,

So the math: One is 7500-8000 and the other is 2500ish. Really, the OASYS was the King of luxury synths.
I love the Kronos, and it is a quality synth. It is so good I will be eBaying a lot of my studio not because of the money, but because it really makes a lot of what I have that unnecessary and wasteful to my workflow. This synth is that amazing.
Build=wise it is better than an M50 and not as good as an OASYS. It is close to say an M3. _________________ Korg Kronos 61::Kurzweil PC3X::Alesis Fusion 8HD::Korg Microstation::DSI Prophet 08:::Korg Polysix::2X Oberheim Matrix 1000 |

Hi Dan, i will do some more detailed tests, i know the Polysix Engine also
and i will check in there too...it was weird that the pitch only on the Polysix
would constantly change on each hit and only on the Scale Affected Notes. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

The Analog parameter will cause the pitch to change slightly for each note played. I just tried this again, and the effect seems to be the same for all notes - not just for the more re-tuned ones.
Best regards,

So I opened the box tonight, turned it on and here's what I get...
System Startup Failed
Please Disconnect any USB devices and restart...
sorry, but I don't have any USB devices attached. My take is a loose connection somewhere. Back to the factory you must go.
Pete. |
