I see these on Ebay for 30 bucks, can you just plug them in and they'll be recognized by the Kronos though the USB port and then they can be used to trigger RPPR's like the screen pads?
That would be very cool........

Kronos won't recognize midi signals through the usb port?

Isn't the nano pad a midi controller ?

So until there's a OS upgrade available, we have to use the midi port not the usb port for an external pad controller?

It would be great if Korg someday would support the nanoPAD2
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/nanoPAD2bk/

Currently the cheapest solution would probably be the Korg padKONTROL
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PadKONTROLbk/

The problem is the controller has to have real MIDI ports (midi OUT) so it could be connected to the Kronos Midi IN port.

I think I saw something not that long ago about a USB to MIDI box that was compatible with the Nano series (possibly even made specifically to make the Nano more compatible with other gear). Can't remember what it was though.

Might be worth looking in to.

I picked up a Akai MPD16 USB/Midi Pad Control Unit cheap, as soon as I get it I'll post my impressions. It has both a USB and a MIDI out port. If you are triggering a lot of RPPR's there's just not enough room on a 61, they should have included them like the M3.

Probably going to stick mine through Logic, and map the controllers that way.

At least until there's an update that will allow straight connection of nanopad.
