+1 to that.

I used to bother with the L/R all the time. I then started asking sound techs before the show whether they ran a stereo or mono system.

I'd say about 80% of the time it was mono.

(Just think, what average sound techs are going to double their amp/effects rig for what they see as a rather small improvement?)


I am sure most sound techs here run live in stereo. But I never program in such a way that I would loose sounds if one channel would stop (e.g. cable/signal loss for whatever reason).
