and below or above every button was a display. That way all the controller assignments would appear right by the control.

I'm loving Tone Adjust and way you can just assign a knob to a parameter. This machine is incredible!

The best part is you can record those movements in a song, so each sound can seem pretty organic.

Also, this is how sounds are adjusted by programmers inside of Combis, leaving the original Patch untouched - kind of like Virus TI Multis where you change a program and the Multi remembers the changes, leaving the Single program alone.

I was playing with a guitar based Combi and I was wondering why fast attack programs were "slow" in the Combi - Tone Adjust was why.

Actually there would be even a better solution tough it would take some memory:

All parameters of programs used in a combi should be stored in the combi.
However, instead of really copying it, all parameters should refer to the original combi.
Then there should be pages (equal to Program pages) to override every single parameter (per program).

Advantages:
- You still can refer to the original program setting, making sure that if you improve a program, automatically all combis u sing the program in will be changed. Even non overridden settings will be automatically be improved.
- You can change (thus override) every parameter in the program inside the combi without altering the program.
- You can edit programs in every detail (or multiple programs) and hear the overall sound, especially handy for layering

Disadvantage:
- More work (depends on what you do)
- More memory needed (approx. 10-20 Ram Memory) ... but that's just a small amount of sampling time.

You can ave the Combi to a User area too. Change name slightly then tweak away.
