Hi there! Can you sequence externally from combi, prog, set list and seq

mode? Which mode do you sequence in? What are the con's and pro's of

sequencing in each different mode?

Well, pretty much yes.

If you try to sequence to daw from Program mode, you would have to do it as audio tracks, because there's only one channel available there. (Program mode.)
But you could bring that program into the internal sequencer and record to daw from there, bypassing the intern-seq and adding 15 more tracks/channels that are still available.

Set list would provide you changing to another program or Combi, but there also is only one channel for recording to 1 track.
Besides the other methods of recording are easier. I wouldn't advise this until you are a lot more familiar with the procedures.

In Combi mode, you can record your Combi to a track, and then add more tracks/channels that are available and unused with in the Combi itself.
So for instance if a combi uses 8 channel/timbres, you can then add to it with the unused channels/tracks in a daw.

Using the Internal Seq. allows you to record to daw, either with a combi that you brought in or track by track and your own selection of sounds.
Lately, I've pretty much been using Combi mode to record to daw and then adding to it with the available unused channels.

If you check over at KLF, there is a wealth of info on the Wiki Stephen has provided:
