what would you do and why?
already got the extreme 88 and the m3m (expanded with RAM & Radias)... but considering the upgrade in a few months... |
I already had the Extreme 76 and M3m w/radias.
It was easy to sell them to fund the Kronos. It should be apparent that the Kronos sound quality far exceeds these prior models. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

is it as fun to play though? I've not gotten my hands on the kronos 88 yet... but I have played the 61 and I enjoyed those 15 minutes or so. I was in another state though at the time.. we don't have one here where I live yet (not even a 61) I love the m3 though. I'll be getting rid of the extreme for sure (it was just a temporary fix to get me through an upcoming gig... ) Not sure about the m3 though. I really like it. _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

If you like what you have now, then why upgrade? The consensus is that Kronos is better than your current setup, but unless your livelihood demands having the Kronos, I don't really see a compelling reason. In a few years, Kronos' successor will come out and then everybody will be saying it blows away that old obsolete Kronos OMG!!! But it won't change the fact that the Kronos works well for them and they really like it...just like the way your setup works well for you now. |

@madbeatzyo111:
Let me say that's a very sensible post.
@apex:
Korg have done a good job on the Kronos and it's a very promising instrument, but I feel it's not fully mature yet.
If I had a TE and an M3+EXB-Radias I would wait and see until Korg release the first Kronos updates (4 GB RAM, streaming of user samples from SSD, larger screen fonts, piano roll and track view screens added to the sequencer, touch drag editing added to the GUI, etc.), then I would make a decision. No reason to hurry.
Btw, I presume you have upgraded your M3 to the Xpanded version? |
