So after my last thread about how my kronos was bugging out with the SST... I think i have had it with this particular kronos.

My lead sound has a resonance boost on SW1. Last rehearsal i switched to that set list slot and it sounded with the extra resonance (its VERY noticeable) and today it did it again. i switched to the slot and without touching the button it just did it.

Should i REALLY just wait for the software update? honestly I have faith that is a software issue. I dont think its hardware.. but theres no reset for the kronos!!!!!

This really sux.. im gonna have to swap it out literally hours before my show at the whisky a gogo in hollywood on sunday....

My guess is that the switch had been activated previously. Switch states and other edits (e.g. Tone Adjust etc.) are maintained per mode. Try this:

1. Select a Slot with a Program.
2. Enable SW1.
3. Select a Slot with a Combi. Make sure that SW1 is off.
4. Select the same slot from Step 1.
Note that SW1 is still on for this Program.

it was previously activated - yes.
However, here is exactly what happens.
RANDOMLY. i CANNOT recreate this. I will be playing a setlist, it does lead > brass combi > sync-lead program and then my lead program.

the first lead i use the SW1 switch to activate the heavy resonance. then i switch to the brass, then sometimes when i hit the second lead (after sync lead) It will sound with the resonance even though the SW1 switch is not lit up. keep in mind the SW1 switch is assigned to momentary so it should be killed off.

Convince me not to exchange my kronos tomorrow please! I dont want to! but i feel like im playing a ticking time bomb right now!

thanks!

Btw let me apologize for being such a bug about some of these things. I have MAD gear breaking phobia since i do repair keyboards.

People bring in boards that sometimes look flawless inside and out... but they do weird things! it just scares me.. this is my FIRST new keyboard over 200 dollars (way over 200..)

Im just paranoid... thank you so much for being understanding and not hostile Smile

youre a great help and god bless you

You must have some fantastic shopping skills given you have owned 2 Triton Extremes, a Triton Classic and a Karma, each acquired for 200 dollars or less!!
