Telling people to "keep waiting" is a silly response. You are not them, perhaps they don't want to wait.

Or

In my case, have limited time I can wait. My triton is not "feeling well". Sides are very loose, on/off button is cocked to the side (so I have to unplug it to turn it off), and a host of other issues. It is a matter of time before it doesn't turn on for a gig.

I was told I would get a kronos in May. Korg is really pissing me off with their pathetic lack of information-sharing with their customers who pre-ordered it.

Nothing wrong with asking "whats 2nd on your list".

Isn't it better to try to fix the problem? It might be a loose wire or contact.

Costs money...time to bring it to the repair...etc. My hope is to retire it to my basement studio and allow it to gently relax after years of gigging. At this point though, I may have to get it fixed up depending on how long this kronos is going to take!

This isn't a week or two late anymore.

Ok ... I hope for you the Kronos will arrive fast.

haha...thanks! I hope everyone's kronos arrives soon!

If you've already accepted the price/performance of the Kronos, why buy something else "in panic"? That can only be a bad decision.

Buying the M3 now doesn't make sense, except for price. The Kronos is way ahead of the M3, and relevant software updates (not just bug fixes) are to be expected. As you know, Korg doesn't evolve the Oasys anymore, neither the M3/M50, so Kronos will be the focal point for new synth engines etc.

I hope for a less expensive version of the Kronos, but that will most likely not appear this year.

So my 10 cents is to take a chill pill, relax, drink some tea, and wait for the (probably) best synth there's to buy Smile.

That's true, but I may wait, maybe some months, maybe half a year. At that time I decide again what I want, however from what I have heard and read about the Kronos I doubt I will change my mind; the only reason is if there would be a completely new synth be announced that's better (and/or cheaper dependingon the possibilities).

Is there an alternative? If there is, what is it?

Would you settle for the next best? If so, what is that?

Would you just forget it for a while and wait to pick one up cheaper when the Kronos 2 is promised?

Or, would you wait, no matter how long, for your ordered Kronos to arrive?

I feel your impatience. My K88 preorder is still a 2-4 week promise. I anticipated a much earlier delivery and sold my entire rig. I did surprisingly well selling my XS Motif, M3M, Extreme, Rd700GX1.

So, I do not lack for funds- I refuse to waste any $$ on a Kurz, Motif, Roland board with a design from several years ago.

a 61 key controller and soft synths is holding me over on the cheap.

There is no alternative to a Kronos. Several of my retail sources tell me they fly out the door within a day. This should come as no surprise to many who have been following Kronos since NAMM.

I'll admit, the wait is a REAL buzzkill. I'd really like to break in and start gigging this board before the summer's over!
