With the announcement of Lion, support for a host of software has been dropped. Mr. Jobs has succeeded at attaining The Peter Principle. Aplle has reached the level of its incompitency. Logic Studio is due for an update, although it works now, now being the operative word. They'll gladly take the hit on Karma, a PPC app, and come to the rescue with an update to Logic Studio. Their new motto being "Let NOTHING" incumber Apple's profit projections as it has now reached the level of glutony. By the time thousands complIn about Karma not working, they will magically come to the rescue with "Yep, thre's an App for that.". Unfortunately, it's the very same people who lifted Apple to new heights, that suffer with growing pains and a lighter wallet. Looks like Apple isn't so easy to use! |

AFAIK the Karma software doesn't even work under Leopard...
I thought at least. Nothing to do with being PPC (you can always install Rosetta in the latest operating systems), but rather to do with the discontinued old interface and frameworks in OS 9.
You can bet the newer software for the newer keyboards will work or will be updated to work.
Now I don't like it when stuff doesn't work, or when stuff gets discontinued, but sometimes there are casualties of progress. If Windows had to be compatible with every previous program in existence, it either would never have moved past Windows 98, or it would be a lumbering giant of over-complexity (oh...).
Sometimes things 'behind the scenes' have to be changed, either to take advantage of new technology, or to otherwise become more efficient and secure. Programs that relied or tied in to that old functionality (some programs even relied on undocumented 'bugs') may/will get broken.
Not really trying to exactly stick up for apple either. I use both PCs and Macs every day. Both have their own problems. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
