CX-3 is cool but I am finding that I use this engine FAR less than the others. I guess I have gotten so used to Kurzweil's KB3 engine that CX-3 really isn't that important to me. One strange thing: of all my synths, the ogran patch that I go to all the time for that NASSTY Jon Lord organ of the apocalypse (wow that sounded like a title for an especially bad sci-fi porno) is the "Purple Organ patch on the XV-88. I know that the Kronos and Kurzweil can do better, but this Roland patch cuts so nicely for Deep Purple stuff.

Some of you will say I am off my meds Wink

Ahimsa,
Vlad

From everything I've read on this forum - it seems the CX3 patches are nothing compared to what CAN be accomplished with some tweaking and editing of those CX3 sounds.

Some have even posted patches you can upload that have gotten great reviews.

Seems like the organ engine is similar to the piano engine - extremely subjective. I like both the Kronos and the pc3. But I am not picky with organ sounds.
