Hey there,

I just purchased the Kronos ASSAULT sample library. And when I load the sounds they all sound awful.

I assume this is because they load into bank U-A by defaut, which is normally not free in the Kronos so it merges with some effects or anything.

I have upgraded my K to 4Gb RAM so I load both Assault and preload sounds.

I'd like to load the Assault into the U-G bank which is free but I can't figure out how to do so....
In irishacts.com it says you can use the "Open" menu but i don't see how it's supposed to help me.

Many thanks in advance
Neko

How long does it take to load - are there lots of files getting loaded? I know you have the SSD that the O doesn't have but there should be lots of files being visibly loaded that take a good few moments.

Make sure you are loading the ksc files as well (which will replace whatever is already in those slots).

My ASSAULT loads perfectly on my O - which includes the new sounds in the kronos release thanks to sharp's great support.

Hi Neko.
There seems to be something odd going on with the file called ASSAULT.PCG and the KRONOS.

Can you please do the following.

1: Delete the file called ASSAULT.PCG
2: Rename the file called OASYS.PCG to ASSAULT.PCG
3: Now just load the library as normal into your KRONOS.

This will fix the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will be modifying the download in the next day or two to fix this problem and to shift the data to the U-G bank.

If you want to load the data into the U-G bank yourself right now, after doing the 3 steps above, please do the following.

1: Load the ASSAULT.KSC file.
2: Touch the ASSAULT.PCG file.
3: Touch OPEN at the bottom of the screen.
4: Navigate the OPEN option until you see the bank U-A.
5: Touch the tab in the top right of the screen and load the bank into U-G.

Regards
Sharp

The files load fine. I copy them from usb to ssd then load them.

The only bad thing is that they go straight to bank U-A in which presets are already present. Then it kinda merges with the effects and ends souding like crap.

Thanks Sharp i'll try this method and let you know Smile

Then the data is not loaded correctly. I'm not convinced it will load correctly either on every KRONOS unless the steps above are followed.

I can guarantee it will work if you follow those steps.

In a day or two tops I will have a new version online with the data shifted to the U-G bank also. You can follow the steps above or you can simply login to your account on the shopping cart and re-download KRONOS ASSAULT when I upload the new version.

Regards
Sharp.

Thanks for this. I was having the same problem with missing samples and factory slots being overwritten but just followed your steps and it's working correctly now.

Hi Flood.
Glad to hear it, but also sorry for the inconvenience.

I will be updating everyone's account on the shopping cart within the next day or two with the latest version. The fix I posted above is a guaranteed solution to the problem, so there's no reason why anyone shouldn’t be able to enjoy the library in the mean time.

Regards
Sharp.

PS... Any OASYS users who have downloaded this version, none of the issues above effect you.

Hi Sharp,

Would you mind posting when the updated file is available? I have been wanting this soundset since you announced it. I think I have listened to EVERY patch in that bank and I am truly amazed. The fact that this can be loaded into U-G is a definite deal maker for me!!

Ahimsa,
Vlad

Hi Vlad.
I've just completed that upload.

The problem is now corrected and the library loads directly to the U-G Bank now.
