It seems some people have same problem. I cannot find MIDI capabilities inside Win7 64 bit. I tried with my desktop and my notebook. No way.
Audio section works in both directions (from my DAW to Kronos while playing some audio file, and from Kronos to DAW while recording me playing the synth).
It is not ASIO, I cannot tell if it is professional enough (latency issue) because with no MIDI this test is not possible...
Anyone solved that?

It is a pity because my intention was to let home my old audio interface and go live with my notebook and my Kronos.
And Audio-MIDI interface was mentioned on any ad and manual!

In some cases (MS20EX) Kronos is much better than any VST.
I am not sure this is true with organs and electric pianos, but is this way for analog and ditigal synths!!!

Do you have the latest drivers? They work fine on my Windows 7 64 bit system.

I had the issue where the KRONOS MIDI driver would appear in windows but not appear in any of my apps. Uninstalling the KORG MIDI driver and letting it use the default Win 7 driver fixed it for me.

There is an issue with Win7 64 and it not being able to enable/install a usb midi drive if all 10 slots have been used in the registry (i.e 10 or midi devices plugged in over time or the same few device/s moved to different usb slots over time).

I had to do this with my MM8 when it refused to register it as a new USB midi device.

Run regedit..
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32

(you might want to export this key/branch as a backup just in case you go mad with the delete key)

Then in the right hand data pane if you have dupes ie midi5, midi6, midi7 just delete a few (they will get re-added as you plug in devices anyway so it doesn't matter if you remove one you still use)

I think Korg did make a utility that did the same thing when the Radias came out.

Yes, I got the last drivers. No way...
I will try tomorrow night to deinstall and install again, while Kronos is connected.
I was so impatient to try everything that I downloaded and installed also without having the wonderful beast available.
There was a shitty forecast from my favoutìrite shop that no kronos would be delivered before Spetember (in august everything is closed in Italy), but luckily they were wrong!

I see we both own MM8s and are on the Bonners waiting list Smile Once you have your Kronos 61, will you be keeping it?

I assume you will because it is 88 weighted keys. I've not made my mind up whether to sell or keep the MM8, as I have the Kronos 88 on order.

I toyed with getting a 73 or 88 and would have definitely got rid of the MM8 if I had got a K73/88 but I actually prefer the semi weight synth action (the PC361 is really nice compared to the M50). Bonners gave me a good price for the M50 as trade in against the Kronos.

I will keep the MM8 as a controller for the Kronos and Kurzweil for those slower piano&string moods/moments as it's a really nice 88 key action for the price (plus was only offered £350 for it). Also I've read that the Yamaha GHS has a better feel than Korgs RH3 but that's probably subjective more than anything (I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the feel when you have tried your K88 vs the MM8).
