|

When recording a sequence, you can set which track is the active track. The one that will sound when playing the keyboard during a song. You can also designate the active track from the Set List when the slot is pointing to a sequence.
Can the 'Active' track be automated/changed during playback? So, say for instance, a piano (track 7) is active during the verses, and fat pad (track 9) during the chorus?
Am I forced to doing a program change within one track (track 7)? If so, it would not have the proper IFX/MFX/TFX settings.
Is there any other automated way of changing tracks / sounds during sequencer playback? _________________

There are four options that I know of:
1. Use sysex to change the IFX for the program for chorus ..
2. Keep the Track Number highlighted (selected with the cursor), then just enter the track number on number pad and press enter. If you keep these tracks within single digit numbers, then you will just have to enter that number and the enter key. It's not perfect, because you will have to lift your hand.
3. Set both parts to same MIDI channel, and use keyzones for different programs.
4. Use an external keyboard set to certain midi channel for the chorus part.
Another option that I am not really sure if it's on KRONOS, but on some keyboards you can use a pedal switch to increment program/part changes. _________________ Roland Fantom-G6 ARX1, Korg M3-m exb-Radias, Korg Z1-18v, Roland MC-808, Roland MC-909, Korg microKontrol. |
