yes we try with someone, the data of oriental on silver don't works fine, many instabilities, slow changing program etc...
I know why, but I can not be discussed here because it is too sophisticated and complicate to explain it.

No need to apologize for your English, freestok. It's fine!

This is a wonderful contribution to the Wavedrum community.

I've been pushing for some type of external USB or SD card access for some time now. I hope the work you are doing will further that argument.

Keep it up.

Thanks!

Thank WaveDrummer
you are welcome Wink

Bertotti
your link is interesting, but i still say it's very hard for build it
the problem is not to find a reader case... the problem is to find the fake card for make a contact to the ribbon,
because i don't want to make a soldier directely on a main board electronic, it's very critical works, and the contact is very smal and tight between them...if case of a short circuit with a only one contact can be destroy the WD and cause an irreversible dammage ...you see ?.

I've soldered smaller and still might try. I would rather find an encased reader so it would be easier to mount. I agree the soldering is small and I will see if any of my normal sources has a micro sd card to ribbon.

Can we also back up settings, or does the micro card only hold the sounds?

i don't try it but look that

you can see on this picture, you have a file named "USER.BOR"
i 'm not shure, but i think is the file contain the user setting

for verified that, it's simply,
you make a backup on your computer,
after this backup, you build a programme user with your wavedrum and save it,

you make a another backup with this new user programme sound inside.

and you replace the first original backup on MICRO-SD-CARD (this first backup not have a new user feature)

and finaly, after all,
check in your wavedrum if the new "user programme" create rather have disappeared, in this case, it can be concluded that the one file on a SD-CARD contain all USER Programme saved.

it's logical and easy to try it.

How about this Freestok, looks like 20pcs to a lot min order is one lot. I bet we could come up with 20 people looking for one of these if it is the right one.

maybe this would do

Freestok, you made my day! I can use my own loops in my WD - joy joy!
Much respect!

I'm not sure how to organize a group buy over several continents (I'm in the Middle East myself), but I would love to have 4 of these extender babies for my two WDs and for backups.

Here it is on the right page. A bit over 127 bucks shipped to the US for 20 pieces. That s a bout 6.40 US each not counting shipping to where they need to go.I haven't the cash at the moment to buy a lot but if you all can wait till next year I will buy a lot and sell at cost plus shipping to whereever you are, as long as e ar allowed to ship there. I understand there are a few places we can't ship.

looks good

WOW! I was impressed with the Wavedrum, but also disappointed that it could never be changed. You (Freestok) have breathed new life into the Wavedrum. You have transformed the Wavedrum into what it should have been in the first place! You are a true pioneer.

I hope Korg does NOT hire you... if they did, we would never know about things like this! Bravo!!

When developing any products , you have to make compromises. Leaving the I/O out is a logical decision. Glad they didn't bury the memory in plastic.
