Hi guys and girls.
I’m doing a little research into what people really want and I was wondering could as many of you all please cast your vote in this poll.
Please only cast your vote based on using these sounds on your Triton, and not on a AKAI Sampler or a software sampler.
Thank you.

There's no question. high quality acoustic sounds for Triton and that means realistic samples. Lol, Triton already has an abundance of synth sounds and a lack of acoustic sounds. Let's make it more rounded huh. |

I would love small but high quality rhodes and acoustic piano samples for the Triton. A nice selection of the classic rhodes sounds would be great. |

I`d rather see drums , basses and el pianos that means acoustic orientation. _________________ Polish my language!

I voted for Acoustic, which I think the better word is realistic, weather it's acoustic drums, bass guitars or anything. Good quality samples. |

I went for accoustic too, it's the finishing touch we have all sorts of synth sounds already available, but can't get enough accoustic samples.
Has everyone tried Sharps accoustic guitar sample ? , that's the sort of thing, expressive and useable. _________________ Chordial |

Sharp doctor of samplology, I would love sounds like
(1.) some of the instruments in the "World Wind" samples.
(2)The Motif ES-8 does something really cool, they have a sample of hand dampened acoustic guitar when you play the notes lightly so that they sound muted and percussive but when you press down harder on the notes you get the open string chord played like a guitar would. I really allows you to play some bluesy, funky acoustic guitar on your keyboard. It sounds very real. It seem like you could do this on the Triton if you had the two samples (of the dampened guitar and the open string guitar). You would also need to be able to appegiate the notes somewhat like a guitar. I know Karma can do the appegiating.
If there are any really great (3)solo violin, (4)solo vocals, or (5)more neat orchestra sample like the ones on the first Sample Assault.
I would also love (6) a bowed big upright bass sound.
Food for thought. Thanx! _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

Hi Sharp,
I have already voted for acoustic sounds, but currently I am searching for some real sounding shehnai (shenai) samples plus some more ethnic samples as well as accrodians, guitars, violins, fast strings etc. If you know any source for those, or if you are working on sample assault 2 let me know so I could start saving money. BTW I already have Roland Fantom with Asia card installed, which is pretty good as far as flute, santoor, and sitar are concerned. Thanks.

I bet in a few years there's a hysteria in getting all 80's patches....LOL...
* beefy wavie synths* ala Eurpoe, Whitesnake, (there's another family a few year back also, Trinity has one great patch A089:Power something))
* Risning (below death) saw...low>>-medium->>
anyone with a 80's -> 2003 converter is rich...this year...
-----------------------
Personally: explore with 2 programs...= 1 combination
All ROM isn't much if 90% is unwanted.....GM IS wasted, remove that.
PHAT KITS impresses
PHAT SAW also
Touchy bass (play as piano, no octave barrier)
well know ORGANS (FX)
more SOLO instead of section for strings/woodwinds _________________ Roland JV-1010 / Triton-Rack 96MB / Trinity Plus PBS-TRI / Yamaha MOTIF6 64MB / Roland Fantom-XR 512MB / Yamaha MOXF6 1GB / Roland XV-3080 / Roland FANTOM-06 / Yamaha MODX6+ / E-mu Proteus 2000 / Roland XV-5080 128MB / Kross 1 / Kross 2 |

I would like more resonant sounds like the 'Phat Bass' in the MOSS presets.
I'm not really after sounds like realistic guitars and so on, I want warm and dirty bass and agressive stabs!!
Some more drum samples esp. snares would be good too. |

Hello.
Hey, I consider a very good initiative this post.
Well, my two cents to it, mostly to coincide with most of you.
Lets see. For what I already have, I have it clear what would I need in my estudio at this point.
But for about Korg synths respect, what we all would find most useful is , obviously, to count with more accoustic kind of sounds, better in qualitty and more more number. No doubt.
Thats the weak point of Korg synths: Guitar sounds, a better piano(s) , Wurlizts ( standard Triton one is not so good ), some kind of different strings not present, brass, better wind sounds (and more), and some etnic stuff not present yet in any Korg synths, etc.
....an EXB of good acoustic and etnic sounds is needed in a rush!
....or an Acoustic version of Sample Assault.
