Will Kronos see/mount Oasys drives to load/save tranfer standard midi files, load korg samples, make audio CD from wave files etc.

What for? Transfer the data with a USB drive.

I can think of several advantages both on stage and in the studio if the kronos could see the O hard drive, especially if they are used in tandem. Loading and saving each file to usb drive, then moving drive and mounting to Kronos, loading and saving to Kronos is not as straight forward as connecting a cable; but doable.
Certainly if the O saw a wave file created on Kronos, CD could be made on O, no need for USB drive or computer.

So you mean not actually taking the disk out and putting it in the Kronos, but having it in the Oasys at the time? That would require something like an USB networking connection and I can't see the development team putting any time in that. Just my opinion though, I'm wrong all the time.

The Kronos has extra unused SATA connections inside.

I'm not saying they work, I'm just sayin' they are there and...

Well, I'm just sayin'...

cost of opening and putting in a new drive will be one un-aligned key + tax
