I want to create a split in Combi mode and have one of the splits played by my midi basspedals. I have the midi set up right, but I want the part of the split played by the basspedals to be an octave down. Can I set that on Kronos and it "tell" my midi controller to play an octave down every time I pull up this set-up?

The easiest way is to use a specific timbre for the base pedals and lower the octave.

Is the only way to lower the octave by transposing 13 steps? In other modes you can find an octave option, but for the life of me, I cannot find it in the combi mode for each timbre.

If you've found the Transpose function, then that's it! 12 steps down will give you the octave, or 24 for even deeper.

As far as I remember, you can even go lower/up to 60, meaning 5 octaves.
