When I finally get my 73, (I have now been told three to four weeks so i'm a bit cheesed Off).I am thinking that I may need a midi controller keyboard for synth sound expression and laying down drum patterns.
I shall be using the Kronos only, I like to keep things simple. I will get the Korg editor, when its ready to download, but thats about it. As I said, I want to keep things simple and on my two lengthy demo's, I know the Kronos will give me all that I need with a few tweaks here and there.
Can anybody recommend a midi control keyboard with a quality action, maybe 3 or 4 octaves. Good value for money, but without being rubbish.
Thanks _________________ https://m.youtube.com/user/1967runningman |

Depends on what you call value for money, but I really like the Roland/Edirol PC600 and 800. Lots of programmable sliders and knobs (so you could have setups for organs or synths) and a really nice keybed. Handy midi merge function if you want to add a third board. |

I'm using a Novation SL61 with my Kronos, but an SL49 Compact is a good second choice... there's one going on ebay (UK- ending very soon) as I type. _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

the Axiom controllers are awesome. I have a 49, and I have friends that have both versions of the 61 (pro and regular). The key action is awesome (not waterfall keys, but still great for organs!) and once the OS update comes, should be completely powered via the USB port. The only thing that I wish I could figure out how to do is map the CX3 drawbar controls to the Axiom sliders.

Automap can be troublesome, but there is a public beta of V4 being released this week, which apparently addresses quite a few issues _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

That one is on my list also. I hear great stories about that series. |
