Does anybody know what make and type of SSD drive fitted to kronos?
as this seems to bring up many different issues depending Manufacture and age off drive.
They appear to last longer if only read to and not written to but this depends on manufacture.

Great answer.
enjoy your keyboard. It's awesome ! |
Martin is correct. There was a lot of obsessing over the SSD some months back. Look it up. There IS nothing to worry about.

The main reason for SSDs to become 'broken' is by too many write actions but normally the system does not have to write. You probably can write the SSD daily and it will take 100 (?) or more years before it looses memory. _________________

like most have said I wouldn't worry too much but I'm kinda hoping it's not an Ocz .. Out of the ones we have fitted at work (a few Intel's and Crucial's and 2 Ocz's) both Ocz's have failed one around 4 months and the other at 6 months.
But all of these are in highend business and gamer PC's that take a much harder hammering than the kronos probably dishes out. _________________ Yamaha MM8, Kronos 61, Roland Jupiter 80 |

It's a Toshiba 2.5" SSD, probably a couple years old SSD technology, since I don't really see new Toshiba SSDs lately...
The new OCZs are f*ck*ng great, though. |
