|
|
Trying to use my ALesis DM5 drums (controller) to trigger sounds in my microSampler.
In the DM5, I set the drums up to start output at C3...hook up the midi out to the MS midi in...
In the MS, I set the midi clock to auto... not working.
any other ideas for getting the drum beats to trigger the MS notes? |

MIDI clock just relates to picking up tempo, not notes. Go to the global settings on the MS and see if "GLOBAL.CH" is set to the same number as your drum machine's midi channel. Drums are usually set on channel 10. _________________ Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin |

I have both Alesis and MS and it's working,so maybe you could check if the MS receives messages from the midi ports and not only from usb... |
