Just received the word, the insurance company is replacing my keyboard (less deductible) and I can keep the damaged one for parts! _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

The Yamaha keyboards were built like tanks in the early 80's, and they still are in the early 2010's... |
Do you really think your EX5 would fare any better? It's been a while since I had an EX7 (cool synth, BTW), but I remember it being plastic. The DX-7, however, was a particularly tank-like keyboard. _________________ Kronos 61, Kronos2-88, Hammond B3, Baldwin SD-10 |

Is it still working as a tone generator? In this case you would have a free (albeit a bit cumbersome) expander |

If I had the skill set, I would tear it down and make a rack box out of it. Way cool! _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

Would definitely want to see how TEX rack you made looks like!
Did you put the valve in front? |

I would too! However these are things I did for clients who paid me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ And I did not keep record of them with pictures of guides. I do remember how to do it though. Luckily no boards in the tex were bigger then 15 inches...
Valve was in front yes.
Poor guy... he was traveling from asia back to the US with a SOFT CASE.....
Someone put a big luggage over the keys totally smashed them in, wouldve costed him too much to fix it so thats how i got on the project. _________________
