Back to the music!

Here is a rough mix of a new song, and I am particularly proud to say this song was done entirely on Kronos with only an electric guitar as an external source. Even the guitar effects were Kronos, and recorded to Kronos audio tracks. The song also has some prominent use of a Midi Guitar Controller with Kronos as the sound source. Most Kronos drums and percussion were played with sticks using a midi pad controller (SPD30). The O-verb and Kronos mastering effects were used in this mix, no outboard effects.

I must say....Kronos is a very inspiring instrument! Endless tweaks and capabilities!

I liked that a lot, Ron. Other than the fade-out ending, this piece was perfect! I'd have preferred a more solid ending, but kudos on a piece very well done!

Thanks PMC! Ahhh the ending. Its simple...its an unfinished piece. I just burned a rough mix for the forum. Any further and the song is incomplete. Honestly don't know how I am going to end it....but your comment gives me good inspiration to create a musical ending rather than a fade. Thanks!

Tried out the onboard Kronos sequencer with a little jazz improvisation. Tell me what you think.

Hey phattbuzz...its cool! Very creative. May I suggest that you might use more mastering reverb to put your music in a space, which would enhance your excellent music further. Its almost too clean....since it emulates acoustic instruments. But that's just my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed it! Thanks for posting!

Yeah cool, keep creating phattbuzz. As Ron says, have a play with the effects. Can almost smell that jazzband smokey atmosphere Wink

Was thinking the exact same thing.

Korg brass sounds need help! And some good reverb and other effects can at least limit their crappy sounds!

As a Kronos Fanboy, I gotta admit that song in particular might sound a bit better on the JP80! lol.
