FXpansion Geist drum sample and sequencing software Limited Edition retail box. This sale also includes the Best of Guru($99.00) and BFD Remix($29.00) Expanders.

I bought it last year from zZounds.com, but I don’t really use it anymore. Includes the retail box, genuine installation disc, and install guide. More details about the software and the Expanders at FXpansion.com, and in my eBay listing, where I have provided a link to the user manual as well(I have other items for sale on there too):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170778267480

Updated with new link since it has yet to sell

My eBay user name is cbrducati:

http://myworld.ebay.com/cbrducati/

$240.00 shipped within the U.S. Paypal only. Send a message if you want more info or for sales outside of eBay. I can ship worldwide, but I might have to charge for the shipping.

Oh, and I had 100% feedback, until someone that I sold a pair of sneakers to complained that they were stinky and left me a negative feedback before I received the email about the buyer wanting me to pay to have them professionally cleaned.

Anyway, Geist is a $249.00 value, and the Best of Guru Expander is a $99.00 value, according to the FXpansion web site:

http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=11&currency=USD

I am trying to sell them for $240.00. Is that a problem, and if so, why?

A few comments:

1. Contact fXpansion and see if you can transfer the software and the expanders to the buyer. If so, make mention of the "transfer pre-approved" in the eBay auction. Especially in the U.S., people are sometimes leary about buying used software.

Are there serial numbers for the two expansions?

2. Regarding price, that is a hard question to answer. Your price of $240 is very close to the normal retail price of Geist at $249, even though your auction includes expanders. Given your price, your buyer needs to be someone who wants both expanders in addtiion to the base software, so the price seems reasonable to them.

3. You might consder making the total value even more obvious in your auction, something like:

-- $249 fxPansion Geist
-- $ 99 Best of Guru Expander
-- $ 29 BFD Remix Expander
====
$377 = Total Value of this auction.

The total value of my auction is $377, but I am pricing it at $240! Save $177 over retail!

4. Geist is not as well known as Maschine or MOTU BPM. You may need to lower your price or be prepared to run the auction a number of times until the right buyer finds your auction.

Good luck.

This is still for sale here, believe it or not. I have been relisting it on eBay since January and have yet to get a sale. Is $249 + $99 for $240 not good enough or what? I have also advertised this on the ebay classifieds, ultimateguitar.com, recording.org, Pro Tools forums, Korg forums, Craigslist, Ableton forums, Sweetwater Trading Post, and the ESP message Board.

There are more than just drum samples for those that don't know, it has effects and a song arrangement mode. It also has external sampling for bass and synths, etc and supports resampling of the master output. And it works as a stand alone program and as a VST plug-in. It is a good program and everything, I just don't use it anymore since I have moved on to other things.

I don't think anyone on this forum has a "problem" with your auction, but that doesn't mean they're looking to buy. I don't have a problem with the price of jeans but I don't need a pair, regardless of whether or not someone keeps shoving them in my face.

International shipping is also available for this and other listings. There is over 8 hours remaining in this listing on eBay if anyone is interested.

I would suggest a price significant price reduction if it does not go this time. Apperently there is not much demand.

The market has been telling you that your price is too high. You just aren't listening. By listing it for whatever prices you've done since January, you also haven't been able to see what range of prices people are willing to pay.

You are making the classic mistake of using your minimum bid as your reserve price. That's probably why none of your items have bids.

List it for $1 with the lowest reserve price you are willing to get. At least you'll get some bids to see what some people are willing to pay. You can use that information to set a more reasonable market price via craigslist etc. for one last attempt to sell it directly, then list it again on a 10 day auction for $1 with no reserve if you really want to sell it and have had no success any other way. You'll at least have a chance of two or more buyers get into a bidding war, which will never happen with a high minimum bid.

You should use the advice of XMLGuy a few post up to see what a realistic price is.

Your current price is simply too high.
