|
|
Hello,
Using my Kronos I have run into a problem. I record some volume automation and then I want to erase it. I used to be able to in my Oasys, though it took forever, go into Midi Event Edit and cut every time it changed but now, I can't even do that.
Why was this removed? How can I now delete this?
Thanks

you can still do it the exact same way. just follow these steps:
1: press the track edit tab (5th from the left)
2: press the dropdown menu (top right corner of the screen)
3: select midi event edit
you should be good from this point (because it's familiar territory to you), but just in case...
4: press ok
5: view all your midi data on a specific track
6: erase the unwanted cc data (volume change, etc...)
at step #4 you could also go this direction
the cc message for volume change is CC 007.
So you could
4: remove all the red check to deselect all options except control change messages (this will keep data that you aren't interested in editing from showing up on the edit midi data screen)
5: tell the Kronos that you only want to see CC 007 by putting 007 in the parameter box
6: press OK.
7: the only only data that SHOULD show up will be CC 007 for the particular track you selected... _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

you could also take an easier route to delete ALL unwanted CC data at once...
go to the same screen where you selected midi event edit, but this time select:
ERASE CONTROL DATA
once you select this option, just select the measures that you'd like to delete and again, you can put the EXACT cc message that you want to delete in the CC no. parameter box (so you would put 007)
press ok, and you're finished. it will delete all cc date (whichever cc message you select, or ALL cc data) on the specified track.
I hope these two options help _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

Thanks guys! I tried both of these options on a track but for some reason neither worked. The volume changes did not show up in Event Edit, and Erasing Control Data didn't help it either.
I had to instruments changed together so maybe that was why it was screwy.
I now know the CC number for volume! Thank you! How do I find out the others?
Thanks again fellas!

|
|
I have been able to do this with no problem in sequencer, midi track edit mode. Just touch the event that you want to delete and then touch the "cut" tab at the lower left hand part of the touchscreen.
Along these lines, I mentioned in a earlier thread, that a lot of people read, but no one responded to, that if you do numerous edits in midi event edit track mode, sometimes that track will no longer sound. To correct it you have to return to the main sequencer page, go to that track and change the program to any other program and them back to the original program. Have you, or anyone else experienced this? It may be a bug. _________________ JP
