nanoKontrol Mac OS X 10.6.8 - no lights, no nothing!

Hi all,
I recently got a nanoKontrol off of ebay. Claimed to be like new. Looks like new.

What I've done:
downloaded and installed latest korg usb driver for mac
downloaded and installed latest plugin for logic

What I get is no lights, nothing showing up in the Audio Midi setup, no love from Logic

I have tried two usb cables.

Was i ripped off or is there something that I am missing?
