Hi All,
For any potential Australian KRONOS users, Allan's Music + Billy Hyde have the 61 key version on sale from tomorrow for $2599, a discount of 35% from RRP (normally $3999).
This is $700 less than I paid in October, and places it at the same price point as the M3.
Perhaps sales in Australia haven't been as brisk as expected? _________________ Current Equipment:

Synths and upgrades have never been cheaper in Australia when compared to prices in Singapore and Thailand which are closer to it in the region.... Aussie music stores dried off the business, now reduce their margins to sell goods.... no surprise... _________________ ~*Dr. Ven*~

I had to wait a full 5 minutes in the store, because some other guy was buying one of these too! Crazy price.
jimiki, I remember your earlier posts about the Aussie distributor (which I completely agree with). Obviously 2599 is close but still above cost, and I'm now not sure whether its the distrubutor or the retailer who happily makes over 35% while telling us its a reasonable cost.
Anyways, I'm back on the Korg band wagon. |

I saw the Allans offer today too... The street price for Kronos 61 in Australia is usually $2,900, so this is definitely a bargain...
I'm wondering if they will be willing to do the same 35% discount for the 73 note model, bringing it down to $2,925? |

Are you quoting in Australian dollars or US dollars?
If in Au dollars, that's a full 1000 Euro less than Thomann are charging in Europe! Phew! |

Its Australian dollars and I might imply subtlely that perhaps some people may have paid a little less...
Its just that chain of music stores, not the local Korg distributor offer.
I can't believe I paid 45% more for the M3 than I paid for the Kronos. |

I paid $3490 for my K88 last Oct. Not from Allans Hyde though. They had the highest prices back then.

That's a good price, where from? I paid $3199 for the 61 in October, when the 61 first became available in decent quantities in Australia.
It's possible the discount at Billy Hyde's is supported by the distributor. _________________ Current Equipment:
