You're welcome ... I have started making a manual but I can't promise if I release it before the next update though. _________________

Beta testers requested:
Because I made lots of internal changes and some small improvements/bug fixes in around a month time I would be glad if others would take some time to test (certain) areas of this application.
See
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70251
If you are interested, please let me know.
Also if you are interested in proofreading the manual.
In case there are multiple people who like to test for the same workstation, I will split the functionality (and believe me, there is enough to test for everybody).
Thanks in advance.
(of course everybody who already reacted do not have to again). _________________

Hello there,
I'm having trouble with orginizing my files via PCG Tools.
I have bought and downloaded various progs and combis from the internet. Then I decided to make up my own bank, through all these pcg files. I have been trying to copy and paste banks from one to another. But every time I get STOP messages, saying "incompatible" or "another version" vs...
While buying and downloading the data (from Korg or 3rd party), I was careful about the data was specially built for Kronos. My Kronos' version is 1.5.0.
For example: I tried to load Korg's KRS-04.pcg bank. I opened the default pcg bank first. Then I opened the krs bank. I selected all patches and tried to copy/paste to the main bank. But it says: "the patches in the clip board are from an incompatible OS version and can not be copied."
Then I tried to do the same thing, but this time 'one by one'. Still the same problem. =(
What am I supposed to do? |

Dear Keymaster,
I think the problem lies in a difference of the OS version. PCG files are different for OS1.0 and OS1.5 versions.
Do you know if the versions are different? If so, load the PCG files in your Kronos and resave t hem again, this will result in changing it to the version of your Kronos (probably 1.5). Then it should be able to load the (both OS1.5) PCG files in PCG Tools AND copy from one to each other.
Let me know if you this works. _________________

| Besides the name, is there a way to change the prog/combi/song attached to a setlist slot? Oh and by the way, HUGE THANKS for all the effort you put into this program! |

No, not very much, you can change the favorite setting of programs/combis and change the order of timbres in combis but that is about it. The reason is that Korg will publish an editor that should do all that which is way beyond my available time to implement.
However, I have some ideas about batch processing, like changing volumes for multiple programs/combis/set list slots at a time. _________________

I added several items to the wish list.
Also I created a forum for more input about copy/paste, see http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70444.
Furthermore, the manual is gradually growing, 64 pages so far, but I'm about halfway probably.
Keep you informed,

Good news... the manual is progressing quite well.
I think I need another week to finish all content and another week to reread everything and fix/add some small items in the manual.
So in two weeks I hope to send the manual to all beta testers including the current test version.
Meanwhile I fixed several (small) bugs and there is one left which will take me probably a bit more time. I will fix this while the beta testers and proofreaders can use my app or read the manual so I hope to have a finished version within 4 weeks (but don't get annoyed when there will be delays).
After that new features can be built in again.
Btw, the manual will be around 100 pages (and/but contain a lot of screen shot examples). _________________

Today I have sent PCG Tools to the 400th requester of the application.
It's good to see that even though there have not been updates lately due to the architectural change and manual creation still a lot of requests come in.
Kind regards,
Michel
note: the donation button has not been used for the last 3 or 4 months hint hint (just kidding; I'm not doing it for the money). _________________

I finished the manual today (102 pages) for proofreading and send both the manual and the application away to the proofreaders and beta testers.
I hope to have a published version within 3 weeks. In the meanwhile I have one bug to solve and spend some time thinking about the cut/paste functionality. _________________

I like the clear function but I'd like to choose a destination other than user 0 (keyboard): I'd like more 'user 16'. Could be possible and interesting for you to implement the possibility of choice?
thanks! |

I could, but I think I have two better alternatives:
- Make a preference screen for clearing patch default values (like name, and category/sub category) which are used for every default patch.
- Add a multi edit, to change for all selected programs/combis the category/sub category at the same time (independent of clearing them). _________________
