Looking to make some wood end caps for my Korg M50, wanted to know if anyone has done this and may have a schematic, Will document my work doing this once we start at the end of March 2012. The ones I'm wanting to make will slide over the existing cap. I am a former employee for Moog Music Inc so I have to have those wooden end caps

Why making the instrument heavier? One of the advantages is its weight.
I once had a hammond XK2 and I hated the wooden parts on it; it was far more heavier than necessary and only because it 'looks nice'. Actually I mostly like plastic or metallic better than wood but that's personal. _________________

Because of the way the case is designed, it would not be as easy as making end caps for older gear. If you just want the look, I'd go with a decal or a veneer. _________________ Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha). |
