kronos can read wave files direct from Hard Disk or flash memory ??

You mean user sample streaming?
Not yet, everything must be loaded in RAM.

(WAV files recorded in the sequencer are played directly from SSD)

But we hope user sample streaming will be addressed in a future OS version.

But...depending on what you're asking...you can PUT WAV files on the drive and load it--meaning you don't have to carry an external card/drive...AND can be put into a program and set to auto load on boot so you don't have to load it (.005 seconds) just play it...

Or...if its long...you incorporate it into a song that you can then play directly from the front page launcher...

So...kinda matter what you're asking for...

I guess he meant WAV files, not samples, then you're right popmann.

Also note that KRONOS sequencer plays audio tracks from the HD, not from RAM.
